DCN‑15U Digital subscriber module is designed to work as part of the DCN communication system as a module for connecting communication endpoints over the Uk₀-interface. DCN‑15U translates voice and signaling links between the 15 subscriber Uk₀-interfaces and the E1 flow to the central switch, and does not perform the functions of switching connections between subscribers. The switch is a compact switch DCN-2 or DCN-Q4E (4xE1) Switching Processor Module (installed in the housing, version of RMLT.465275.019-01). DCN communication systems manufactured by Armtel LLC, built with these products, provide voice communication between loudspeaker subscriber devices manufactured by Armtel LLC, telephony subscribers, search communications and emergency loudspeaker.

Switching processor module DCN-Q4E (4xE1), installed in the DCN-15U case of version RMLT.465275.019-01, performs the functions of the central place of the DCN system, to which it is possible to connect the “own” DCN-15U Module, other DCN-15U Modules, other places DCN system or its equipment on four E1 lines.

Thus, DCN-15U version RMLT.465275.019-01 can create a DCN system with a small capacity of up to 60 digital and / or consumer subscribers, when the corresponding subscriber modules are connected to four E1 interfaces.

DIS, DIS-TOP or similar (manufactured by Armtel LLC, Russia) digital simplex communication consoles;
all-weather and explosion-proof digital loudspeaker devices of type DW/DWEx or similar (manufactured by Armtel LLC, Russia);
multifunctional digital telephone sets such as DTS5, DTS-TOP or similar (manufactured by Armtel LLC, Russia);
analog connection module of MAP (manufactured by Armtel LLC, Russia), for communication with analog equipment (1 LF interface line) and switching control circuits (eight discrete I/O lines);
ISDN- telephones and other third-party devices with Uk₀

DCN 15U during delivery is ready for operation and does not require programming during operation. The DCN central switch connected to the DCN 15U via the E1 line controls the operation of module DCN 15U and its connected subscriber units.
